I decided to make use of the space
reserved for my homepages. Basically I will just put here some video clips
about karate. The style I practice is Gensei-ryu, although currently I’m also teaching
Koryu Uchinadi. However, I was asked not to show the Koryu Uchinadi stuff here,
so the videos will be only from Gensei-ryu. Usually I don’t differentiate very
much between styles, as in my mind all the karate styles are really different
aspects of the same thing. It all just depends on how much the
teacher/instructor knows.
I will be adding new videos from time to
time, so please check out the site sometime later as well. The clips are below.

Latest update 08 July 2010: I watched some Naihanchi/Tekki bunkai
videos from Youtube a couple of months ago, and I was quite disappointed with
most of them. There were some videos with good applications, but I’m sorry to
say many of what I came across were in my opinion pure rubbish. Hence in an effort
to raise the standard, I made my own contribution of Naihanchi Bunkai to
Youtube, it can be found HERE
In other recent events, senseis Tani and
Yamamoto (both 8.dan Taido) were in Finland to teach in a Taido seminar. Shodo
Shukumine and Ikyo Shukumine (Son and daughter of Seiken Shukumine, founder of
Gensei-ryu and Taido) came with them for a surprise visit to Finland. I had the
opportunity of enjoying a cup of tea with them and the Ambassador of Japan in
the Embassy of Japan. I also attended a couple sessions in the Taido seminar,
where we did mostly meridian (keiraku) stretching.
