The theme of my sculptures and wall pieces is often connected with houses as a metaphor of a human being. From 1987 to 1998 I was working as a lecturer at the university of Art and design Helsinki, UIAH. Works in tiles and brick are an integral part of my output. Since 1998 I have been developing models of different handmade tiles which were publicly on display for the first time at Habitare 99, home ware trade show. In 2004 I finished an ensemble of brick and tile works for the residential area of Arabianranta in Helsinki. |
