The fact seems to be that under the reign of King George the Moron, Conspiracy has become the modus vivendi of the ruling Bushist power elite.The major tool of the Bush storm troopers is the lie and they have elevated the simple "fib" to a set of lies that form the framework of the political system we live and work in. Bushism is conspiracy elevated to an artform. The best I can do is to be one of the many who feel the need to relay the simple message to all who have ears to hear with and eyes to see with: RIDICULE RULES! Dissent isn't easy these days. Hi! I'm George Streeton. This page will introduce a number of conspiracy (and counter-conspiracy) theories. My trusty edition of the "Concise Oxford Dictionary" defines "conspiracy" thus:Act of conspiring (in good or bad sense ); combination for unlawful purpose; plot. The word derives from the Latin word 'Conspirationem'. It originally meant 'to breathe' (spire) with (con). This definition makes conspiracies seem somewhat less dark and devious than the modern senses suggest.But one may have a mental picture of plotters whispering together in a dark and secret place. By conspiracy one tends to think of something dangerous and underhand being undertaken without our knowledge.A synonym for this form of conspiracy could be something as simple as "plot" with a suggestion of secrecy and deviousness.It is possible to imagine some kind of global,universal plot being hatched under the noses of the targets of the machinations. My interest is attracted to the large number of (mini?) conspiracies that are recorded in history (including those being hatched as I write.) I am trying to avoid a study of conspiracies that suggests paranoia and a too vigorous imagination. There are those who smell a conspiracy around every corner. Indeed, for all I know there are thousands of conspiracies being plotted and executed right now as I pen these words.I beg you to accept that I am not about to accept paranoid visions of plots being executed all over the place. But conspiracies (trivial or momentous) are not figments of my imagination. conspiracies can be as real as you like. It is my intention in this page to introduce you to a compendium of credible and relatively modern conspiracies. The mother of all conspiracies? Well, maybe not the mother but at least a conspiracy that you can get your teeth into! JFK and other coverups. The problem appears to be that there are maybe too many conspiracies to investigate! Maybe somebody is conspiring to keep this information from us? No, I really am not paranoid. I am darned curious though.But if you start fishing for conspiracies you will soon enough be overwhelmed by the sheer number of conspiracy theories - and some of them seem credible enough if you are a political sceptic like me. This site offers a good sampling of conspiracy material. More stuff you can get your teeth into. The Oklahoma City bombing has found itself a fruitful topic for the conspiracy hunter.There is an enormous amount of literature (much of it quite sane!) that the conspiracy hunter can get his teeth into. One needs to consider the fact that one can find oneself suffering from an overdose of conspiracy material. Madness lurks in the wings, I feel. The quest for conspiracies is not for the faint-hearted. You will discover a wealth of data that will turn your stomach if you don't take care!
