[2008-01-30] Hi y'all..

..long time no see.

Well, it's the year 2008! I wonder why mankind always sees the new year as an opportunity to somehow improve their selves? People make new years resolutions and usually forget all about them right after new years day. So what's the big "fuzz" anyway? Why can't people better them selves say during the spring, or summer? I mean I see new years eve only as an excuse to party hard. But while I don't make new years resolutions, I try to keep my act together all year long! Shouldn't everyone? I know sometimes it might be a slippery slide, but why try only once a year when you really can try to "improve" your life all year long. Maybe I should consider a career as a life coach.. ..I wonder if it pays well? :)

In other news, I have finally started to write my thesis and hopefully it will be finished by may! It's kinda cool to finally get out of school, but somehow I know that eventually I'll be missing it. Next summer I am planning to take at least a month off from everything and have a nice long vacation. Right now I don't know how it will happen and with what money, but it will happen. After all, I'm a pretty resourceful guy!

[2007-11-26] Is seemingly wealthy..

..the same as actually being one?
Well, of course not. The other day someone told me that I must be rich because I have a nice home, a sauna and other stuff as well. The best argument from her was that poor people won't keep light coloured couches because they are afraid they'll mess them up. But rich people can always afford new ones, no problem. :) I have to say, that was quite a good argument and a funny one. Clever girl, and nice too. Of course my point being, I certainly am not rich, not even close! After all, being a student doesn't pay well. Well not right now, but for sure in the near future.

[2007-11-04] Today ..

..I did nothing.
What a useless day this was. Well okay, I did update the look of this site, but that's about it. I suppose some lazy days every now and then can't do any harm. I should have been studying for an exam I have next tuesday. I quess I'll be studying all day tomorrow, or an hour before the exam, no one knows. Where could I find the motivation to read and read some boring material that I probably will forget in a few weeks anyway.

When you start looking for a good job, your mind begins to anticipate it more and more. That leads to the fact that going through the last courses of ones studies become even harder than before. It would be nice if I didn't have to look for a job while still trying to consentrate in my studies. But everyone in their right mind knows that getting a decent job could take months and unless your really lucky, landing a dream job could take a lifetime. So I guess I better start early.

[2007-10-14] I wonder..

..if I'll be able to get a decent job by January 2008. If you want to hire a brilliant web designer (will do other graphics design too =), or you know someone who might hire, contact me! Oh boy, I could use the money. In other news, birthday is coming closer by the minute. When getting older though, birthdays become more and more irrelevant. It's just that I'm eagerly awaiting the actual party, when friends come together and have craaaaaazy fun. :D I just need to clean up my place, so I can let the partypeople mess it up again. But it's always good fun.

..I turn 25 yrs!

19th of october to be precise. Feel free to congratulate me that I've made it this far.. ..and bring gifts! Holy shit, that's a quarter century! I'm smart. Anyway, in case you're asking yourselves is there going to be a party of some kind? ..of course there will! *duh* For all my friends: You know without asking if you're invited. If you don't, then your not. :)

By the way, gallery-section is open again and you need to have a flash-plugin in your browser in order to watch the pics. Later on I'll be doing some kind of a page-to-page navigation to the gallery. But for now it should be good enough.

[2007-07-30] As summer has almost passed..

..I find myself only two weeks away from my short vacation!

School starts less than a month from now, but fortunately I am able to have a two week vacation before that. I have no special plans for that time perioid, but I was thinking about summoning my friends from school to a gathering of some sort. (Booze will be included, for sure. :)

I have a short "vacation" right now. Next monday I'll have to start my crappy summer job. Although I sometimes may appear to be somekind of a supernatural being, I too occasionally have to pay some bills to get by. Nah, that's just my insanity talking. :p

..of getting a new tattoo!

I already have one tattoo in my bicep. It's a smiley face showing its tongue combined with tribal patterns. Two tattoos should be enough for me, I hope. :) I just have to design it first, just like i did my first one.

[2007-05-17] It's getting closer

Wow. I just realized that summer is really right around the corner.

This weekend will be 20+ degrees celsius and we'll be getting some sunshine too (at least in southern Finland). A friend of mine invited me to join him and others for a day in the park. There will be some activites like throwing various objects to each other (frisbee, american football etc) and drinking alcoholic beverages.

That's great and that reminds me, I have to find my cooler.

[2007-05-10] Finland for all

Thriller is the right word for todays quarter-final game. Ice Hockey World Championships, Finland took a victory over USA in a shootout! Jere Lehtinen decided no more messing around. :) Eurovision is going on in Finland and it could be once in a lifetime and even though it's a comedy festival, the publicity value of the event for the host country can't be measured in money, gold or even oil. :p

Well, it turns out that I didn't quite completely survive may day after all. I did catch a cold while waiting over an hour in a taxi line. Fuck!

Well, it wont stop me from trying to enjoy the weekend. "Couple" of beers, ice hockey world championships and sauna! How could I be any more of a Finnish person? Of yeah, of course I'll be listening to some heavy metal / hard rock while doing all that. :)

No, I didn't go to any political rallys. How about some drinking instead? Then singing some karaoke, Guns'N'Roses songs at a local heavy metal bar. I gotta tell you, it was grrreat fun!

[2007-04-27] IHWC!

Yep, It's that time of the year again. The Ice Hockey World Championships begun today. Finland took a win over Ukraine 5-0. Shocker :)

I'm hoping that we would have a Finland-Canada final this year. Usually the preferrable opponent for Finland (especially for the finals) has always been Sweden, right? If we had the Finland-Canada final and if Canada won, it would be like: Oh well, it's Canada, "The hockey giant". But when ever Sweden takes a win over Finland (especially in the gold medal game), people tend to go crazy or in to a deep depression. There's some neighbourly love/"hate" -relationship for you.

Losing to Canada would be like the easy way out. But to take a win over Canada in a gold medal game, it would be ever so glorious!

I decided to do it. Video favourites -section is now added to the site. Only the videos that I find worthy enough will end up in there! More videos will be added over time. Note: I haven't made those videos, they are just something I have stumbled across and decided to embed them (via links). Anyway, the point is, those videos some what reflect my taste and opinions on different matters. You have to check them out, they're golden!

[2007-04-14] Some new ideas

The thing is.. I have composed music as a hobby for a while now. Some day I will put few of my songs for everyone to listen (section "My music"). I always try different channels to express myself and I had an idea for this site a couple days ago. It is simple, people probably have done it a million times before.

I will make a section for my site where I will have a collection of videos found from the internet (mainly YouTube I quess). The idea is, that only the videos that reflect my sense of humour and/or taste on any matter, will be "integrated". I hope there won't be no legal issues of any kind if I do such a thing. (There are no experts here.) :)

[2007-04-08] Sunday afternoon. Blah.

I added few new photos to my gallery. Wow, my head is empty right now. This weekend was really exhausting because of all the partying I had to do. :p I think I will take a brake from everything and go do something completely different for a while. I have a problem with the appearance of this site. I wonder if I should make the site look more "dreamier" and take those bright background colors off. I'll have to think about it. [Edit / Later on..] Yep, well I changed the look a bit. Now it pleases me. At least for now. :)

[2007-03-27] Healing up nicely

My throat is healing nicely (tonsillectomy, check previous entries) and hopefully it won't take long to get completely better. I'm hoping next friday (fingers crossed). Then I am strrrrong again! :) Yep. But seriously, this sitting around is starting to get somewhat annoying.

Oh yeah, I added the "Other places" -section, but those delightfully random opinions will have to wait a little while longer.

[2007-03-25] The look and feel

Today I figured I would maybe do the "Other places" -section and finally write some "Random opinions". That was the original plan, but then I kinda got stuck with adding some graphic detailings to the site. Not much but just enough to bring the site a little more alive I think.

On another note, my sore throat is finally starting to feel a bit better. Finally! Maybe I'll eat something more solid tomorrow, who knows.

[2007-03-24] Updates

I added a gallery-section to the site. There I will store some of my favourite photos / other images for all of you people to look at. It's rather emptyish right now, but give it some time.It will flourish!

I was wondering if I also should make my site available in my native tongue (finnish). But I think most of us Finns know english pretty well, so i dunno. I'll give it some more time.

[2007-03-21] Building the site

Wow. I've added a guestbook and an info-section about me in a relatively short period of time. I also have repaired several bugs along the way.. (Something tells me it's a neverending story). And all while suffering agonising throat pain. I'm proud of myself. On the other hand without my sick leave, I probably wouldn't have had the time to do all that. Oh well, still proud. :p

I should try to eat something. Feeling kinda weak and dizzy here.

[2007-03-20] Greetings from hyperspace!

The reason why I am coming back from "hyperspace" is the fact that my hyperstrong painkillers are wearing off and soon I have to take some more. Infact, I go in and out of "hyperspace" so often that it's not even funny. It hurts like hell but I'm confident that at the end it was all worth it.

Yep. I recently had a tonsillectomy. And I got to tell you: eating ice cream is overrated!

[2007-03-19] New site published. Yay!

Indeed, here it is. The project that has been coming and going for a long time. If I finally could keep this version of my site online, it would please me. I will concentrate on improving it rather than just making a new one time after time. I promise. Really.. :)
