My Feng Shui Studies I began my studies of Feng Shui in the 1980s. I am constantly upgrading my education by attending seminars in different countries and studying over the internet. My main teachers are Howard Choy, Jes T. Y. Lim, Liu Shanglin ja Joseph Yu.
FIELDS OF STUDY:
As a result of my studies I was granted the title of Master of Feng Shui FSRC in 2007. I have been the vice-chairperson of Finnish Feng Shui Association since 2000. I am also an Usui Reiki Master.
Joseph Yu My most important teacher and mentor is Joseph Yu, a Feng Shui Master, who was born in People's Republic of China, but emigrated to Hong Kong as a child. He is mathematics and physics graduate who originally taught mathematics at the university. His Feng Shui studies started almost by accident, when he decided to prove that Feng Shui and other Chinese metaphysical subjects were mere superstition. As Joseph studied the ancient texts in order to find fault with old practices like astrology and Feng Shui, he was impressed by the rich heritage of Chinese culture and the way it could provide people means to improve their quality of life. As luck would have it, he had as his neighbour an old Feng Shui Master with whom he engaged in lively debates about the art, the principles, and the methods of Feng Shui. Thus he had a chance to receive thorough personal education. Joseph has over 30 years of experience in Chinese metaphysics. He practices and teaches Feng Shui, Bazi (Four Pillars Astrology), Zi Wei Dou Shu (Purple Star Astrology), and Yijing (I Ching) analysis. In addition to writing 14 mathematics text books, Joseph has co-authored with Elizabeth Moran "The Complete Idiot's Guide to I-Ching" and "The Complete Idiot's Guide to Feng Shui", co-authored with Val Biktashev.
FSRC - Feng Shui Research Center Joseph Yu founded the Feng Shui Research Center in Toronto, Canada, in order to provide a center for serious study and research of ancient Chinese metaphysics. He doesn't want people to follow old, obscurely written writings, or rules coloured by religious beliefs without criticism and understanding. He expects his students to verify the validity of any old beliefs in practice and to use their own common sense in applying their knowledge. Joseph was the first one in the field to exploit the possibilities offered by modern technology. He has built a worldwide network of Feng Shui professionals and amateurs who are in daily contact with each other through internet in order to teach, learn, and exchange information about practices and results of Feng Shui application - thus multiplying the speed of learning by studying dozens, if not hundreds, of real cases each year. Joseph's wish is to raise a generation of Feng Shui professionals, who know how to apply genuine Feng Shui principles in their work and are thus able to improve the quality of life in their own communities.
