These
three studies make a trilogy. In all of them the basic idea is to study
ten big samples for comparing different zodiacs and house systems to find
the techniques that in general make biggest differences to the respective
control groups compiled from random data. Effect sizes and so called
effect power values derived from effect sizes are used as the measuring
devices, and all the studies are illustrated by diagrams.
In the first study about
Egyptian bounds this ancient technique is used to compare six different
sidereal ayanamsas and the tropical zodiac. The distribution of the seven
traditional planets is studied in bounds ruled by the five planets: Saturn,
Jupiter, Mars, Venus and Mercury. Which one of the ayanamsas or zodiacs
gives the biggest difference to random data when the results are
calculated together?
In the next study eleven
different house systems are compared in the similar way using the same ten
samples as with Egyptian bounds by studying the distribution of the seven
traditional planets in the twelve houses. Which house system gives the
most dramatic difference to random data?
In the last study the
zodiacs and house systems are combined by studying the dignities of the
rulers of the house cusps. Do the separate results got in the two previous
studies still prevail as a zodiac / house combination? (June
/ July 2008)
