This second set of pictures has been taken with our new digital camera Canon A70.   They are 1024x768 resolution.  You can click any picture to view it in that resolution.

Between this and the first set of pictures I have been mostly working with the electronics, adding turnout motors, decoders and feedback modules, so there is not so much visible progress.  I have also connected the layout to a PC and programmed an automated train control.  But I think there is still something to see for everybody in these new pictures.

Here they are.  I hope you enjoy.

Here are some results of the cabling work.  I am actually ashamed that it looks like this, but I am not sure if I ever have time to tidy it up.  The two modules in the picture are Viessmann 5211 turnout decoder and 5217 feedback module.  All this will of course be invisible when the landscape is finished. Above the base board, the cargo yard has got some plaster layed down.  You can also see the base for a power station around one siding.  This was because the building needed to be lifted some 5-6 millimeters higher so that a coal wagon could slide in through its freight doors.
And here the power station has been fitted on its place.  Behind the other two sidings there is a loco shed. Another view towards the shunting yard.  In the middle of the cargo wagons, an old P8 steamer has been parked in front of the loco shed.  It is a delta loco, so its running characteristics are very poor.  I will need to upgrade it one day.
Here you can see some wagons pushed through the power station freight doors for unloading.  Normally they should be coal wagons, but you never know what the computer decides to do when you let it make its own mind... And the same from the opposite angle.
The East end of the layout has a tunnel which leads under the base board to a hidden loop.  It is still very much unfinished, but the basic structures are there. Above the tunnel there is going to be a slope with some forest leading to the back corner of the layout.  Faller's forest house will be in the forest, and the signal tower just above the tunnel.  Again, just the basic structure of the slope is in place, with "shelves" under the buildings to hold them in straight position.
Then a few pictures of my Class 360 shunting diesel at work.  Below it is coming out of the loco shed, driven by the computer. Now it has picked up a couple of wagons from the yard and is bringing them around to another siding.
This is a nice shot of 360 slowly coming to a halt at the town siding. And a close view of the same.  I am using this as the base picture on my layout PC...
An overview of the West side of the layout, which holds the station and a small village.  This side is in pretty good shape already, but still not completely finished. A view from the village.
The station. A view to the platform with couple of Noch figures sitting and watching the trains.
One of the track side huts. And a very close view of the same (testing the macro features of the camera).
