Finding good fanfic stories can be difficult. One way I've found of making the search easier is to check out the story recommendations made by fanfic writers whose work I've enjoyed. Being a lazy bastard, I'm not going to recommend stories so much as websites worth visiting - these are fanfic archives, fanfic writers' personal sites... and wait for it... other people's recommendation pages. I like my fanfic in many flavours. Depending on my mood, anything from fluffy and fun to angsty, kinky, twisted and dark can work for me. Please keep in mind that websites recommended may contain any of the following: gen, het, slash, NC-17 content, kinks and other themes not palatable for all readers. Proceed at your own risk! |

Apart from the ladies' personal fan fiction archive sites, sites to check out include "Slashing the Angel" (containing guess what?) and of course "Days Of Our Unlives" (under inactive sites) for sizzling hot and hilariously funny A/S slash. |
| ¤ Pointy Stakes Fanfic by Mad Poetess including the series "Chocolatey Goodness", "Domestic Piranhas" and "Small Fry" (the latter two co-written with James Walkswithwind). Go check the story descriptions for something that catches your fancy. Then read all the other stories on the site. Ratings from PG to NC-17. |

| ¤ The Brat Queen – fanfic, information, attitude Mostly Ats slash fanfic including the "Epiphany Series". Stand alone stories tend to focus on Wesley. TBQ's 'kinkfics' have more plot and characterization than most other writers' 'serious' stories. Also stories in other fandoms and useful information. |
| ¤ Wolfling's Lair Wolfling is a co-author of the series "Sands of Time" (S/X), "Paving Stones" (G/S) and "Of Old Mystics" (G/Ethan) among other things. Enough said – go read. Ratings from G to NC-17. |

| ¤ Helen Raven’s Slash Fiction Slash fanfic by Helen Raven is often AU, angsty and a bit dark. These are stories which delve into the psyche of the characters and won’t leave you alone even after you’ve finished them. Helen’s also written a couple of Angel stories worth checking out. |
| ¤ The Circuit Archive The "classic" Pros slash fanfic archive has been revamped and now has nice search options and also Pros artwork. The main thing remains the largest collection of Pros slash stories online - the site contains stories which originate from the old paper circuit as well as newer stories. | ¤ The Hatstand A relatively new slash fanfic archive that already has a good number of stories to enjoy. Look for stories by author, title or zine.
