1633 At his death George Everard of Aller in the parish of Carhampton, gent, had debts of nearly £1,000, of which £300 remained unpaid in 1633. In that year Peter Meade and his wife Christian (formerly the widow of George Everard) drew up with George's son, William Everard, a deed to lead uses of a common recovery to allow the sale of parts of the property to pay off the remaining debts.
