Welcome!

Here you will find my paintings of rabbit people. A typical rabbit, if you would like to know, is a kind and happy creature, maybe also a little bit childish, some may say naïve. Rabbits certainly don't seem to worry about things, and one might say it is good for your health to make like a rabbit sometimes, to counteract the stress of everyday life. Be honest, when did you last see a burnt out bunny?

The rabbit is an age-old symbol of fertility and sexual activity, which is something I have tried to express in my paintings. In addition to the laid-back joy for living I would wish to show this erotic dimension as they just could be onto something! I suppose it's fair to say that not even rabbits are satisfied and content with their lot all of the time. However, when you look at my paintings and ask yourself what message they contain; think about the simple things in life, the free and the innocent and compare this to how we often feel. Ok, we can't all be rabbits but we can definitely add a few of their qualities to our own lives.

Every person takes the limits of their own field of vision for the limits of the world
(A. Schopenhauer)

It is pleasent at times to play the madman. (Seneca)

I discovered that people are not really afraid of dying; they're afraid of not ever having lived, not ever having deeply considered their life's purpose and at least tried to make a difference in this world. (Joseph Jaworski)

I've seen that people are nourished by compassion and great freedom, just as plants in the garden are nourished by sunshine and rain and fertilizing and proper seeds. (Jack Kornfield)
