I work for Philips Healthcare in Vantaa as an R&D Excellence Manager, improving our product creation process and development organization. Our main product is Sonalleve MR-HIFU, an MR-guided focused ultrasound device used to treat uterine fibroids and alleviate the pain of cancer patients.
Previously, I worked for a language technology company called Lingsoft. Our largest customer was Microsoft, whose Office 2000 suite contained proofing tools for six languages made by Lingsoft. I am still available for part-time language technology consulting.
I graduated in 1998 from the University of Helsinki, where I studied Computer Science, Mathematics and Computational Linguistics. The topic of my master’s thesis was semi-automatic classification of Finnish newspaper articles.
I am a member of Agile Finland and TKT-alumni. I live in Käpylä, Helsinki.
