REHTORIT (= PRINCIPALS, HEADMASTERS, DIE MAGNIFIZENZEN, RECTORES MAGNIFICI)
Rehtorit was founded in 1995. They signed a record deal with Poko Records and recorded one single, "Frankenstein" and a CD, "Millionääri". Then came troubles. People were kicked out, some lost their faith, some got bored. Poko Records released one more single, "F.C. Born To Lose" and 3-D video for the song "Se tulee silmille" was filmed. After leaving Poko Records Rehtorit released one single through their own label Rock 'n' Roll unelmat. Some great songs and founding member Rehtori Heko survived those stormy times. Everything fell in place in January 1999. The ultimate line-up came to be: The music got even better. Nowadays it's a mixture of power-pop, ramonian punk-rock and whatever. Actually, Rehtorit don't find classifying rock 'n' roll very interesting. Rehtorit have made two CD-singles in 2001, "Hiljaa!"-CD and 7" single, "Kolmen tonnin esteet", in 2002, and there is more to come. In 2001 and 2002 they made a series of radio programs for the Finnish National Radio. Rehtorit will be on the Wanker Fanzine compilation CD with the song "Misery TV" ("Maailman huonoin TV") and coming up is the superb "Speedfinns E.P." with Marky Ramone & The Speedkings, Pojat and Häiriköt. The song on that E.P. is called "Badmobile". Life is simple, Johnny: be good. |
