- Field work for Master's Thesis in Jena, Germany. Job description: field experiments with enclosed voles populations.

- Research assistant for a group studying owls. Job description: analysing nest material and assisting with field work (2 weeks).
- January-February 2000
- Research assistant for a group studying salmonid fish. Job description: conducting DNA-analyses of fish tissue samples, xxx video material of behavioural experiments and archival of articles (2 months).

- Research assistant for a group studying small mammals. Job description: survey of voles by index and live trapping in Northern Carelia, Finland (3 weeks).
