DOF material(s) for Realsoft 3D V5.1+ Instructions: - Load materials - Create camera - Select camera - Click on (create) backdrop - Set distance to a _very_ small value (so it's between the camera and the scene) - Set material to either one of the DOF materials - Set color to black - Accept - Select backdrop's material -> properties -> spec -> Mapping Type -> Camera - If you're using textured DOF, select an image for it (one is provided with the materials) - There's not much need for AA, unless you can't remove the grain with DOF sampling - DOF renders black if you set its RayCount over 25 or so - You'll need one more recursion (as the DOF needs one for itself) - Distance, map coords, etc. Won't be rendered correctly, tell me if you need them - This means that the post-blurred GI won't work (it wouldn't handle the DOF blur anyway) - I'd create a script that creates (and choreographs) the material so the user could use the camera controls, but I have no damn idea how to calculate the CoC from camera parameters 2007-02-06 Timo Mikkolainen
